This is going to be about multimedia and education on the web

Welcome to the subject

There was quite a lot covered in the lecture tonight

Some differences between multimedia online and multimedia on CDROM:
display the most recent data and information;
provide 24-hour access;
give global access - literally worldwide delivery is possible;
give virtually simultaneous delivery of important data - netcasting;
give cross-platform delivery - this is built-in to the Web system;
provide interactive facilities to allow self paced accessing of data and information
provide many tools that allow students to publish multimedia outcomes at little or no cost

Can you think of other differences between multimedia for education that is available on CD as it compares to multimedia available via the web?
